Frequently asked questions
Is there a setup fee?
Setting up your site, or moving an existing one to us, is quoted as a fixed price after a short conversation, so you know the full cost before you commit.
What’s covered by the monthly fee, and what isn’t?
The plans cover hosting, security updates, backups, monitoring and keeping the platform running. Help with how to use the system, training, changes and new features are charged at £85 an hour + VAT on any of our plans (£95 standard rate), and we always agree the work with you first.
Do you support both WordPress and Drupal?
Yes. Every plan is available on WordPress or Drupal, with CiviCRM working inside your website. If you’re not sure which suits you, we’ll talk you through the options.
How do updates work?
Every plan includes security updates (critical security fixes on Starter). Regular updates, such as new versions of CiviCRM, WordPress or Drupal, plugins and modules, are done when you ask at our plan rate, and are included on Enterprise. Most small sites need one or two update rounds a year.
Can you host on AWS or our own cloud account?
Yes. Alongside our standard UK hosting, we can set up and manage CiviCRM with WordPress or Drupal on AWS and other cloud platforms, either in our account or yours. We’ll quote for this based on your requirements. Read our guide to hosting CiviCRM on AWS.
Can you customise a plan for us?
Yes. If none of the plans fits exactly, we’ll put together one that matches what you need, with a clear monthly price.
What decides the website-only price?
It depends on the size of your website and how many plugins or modules it uses. Plans start from £65 a month + VAT, and we’ll confirm your exact monthly price when we look at your site.
Can I cancel?
Yes. There’s no minimum term: plans run month to month and you can cancel with 30 days’ notice. If you leave, we give you a full copy of your website and data.
We’re on Drupal 7 or CiviSpark. Can you move us?
Yes. We regularly move organisations from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10/11 or WordPress, and from CiviSpark and other systems, keeping your contacts, donations and membership history intact.
Are there limits on contacts or pages?
Starter covers up to 5,000 contacts. Essential and above have no limits on contacts, and no plan limits donations, events, memberships, posts or pages. If you outgrow your plan, we’ll talk to you about moving up before anything changes.
Who will I be working with?
A small UK team of CiviCRM specialists, including former CiviCRM core developers and maintainers of popular CiviCRM extensions. The people you speak to are the people who build and support your system.
Do your prices include VAT?
No. All prices are shown excluding VAT, which is added at the standard rate.
